Avis is on the taller side of average with a slim build. He has pale skin and many freckles. The highest concentration of them are on his face and shoulders. His hair is wavy, almost curly, and copper in color. He keeps it around chin length. Avis' eyes are green with brown central heterochromia.
Avis travels a lot and adapts his clothing to the culture he is currently living in. Comfort and maneuverability are his focus when choosing new clothing. He wears greens when available or other earth tones.
Avis is a patient and passive person. He is very aware that he will live a very long time and is willing to wait for everything and everyone that bothers him to die. This awareness also makes him prone to bouts of depression.
Avis speaks formally. He has a tendency to use old and obscure words when he is explaining things.
Avis isn't sure what to make of Sanea, but she is a useful entry into the Aren temple.
Linnet is Avis' adoptive sister. They were practically family before his mother disappeared and it became more official after she did.
Avis considers them siblings much more than Linnet does. This isn't actually a source of tension between them, the tension is caused whenever Avis refers to Linnet's mother, Saeth, as his second mother.
Linnet feels obliged to look out for Avis. Avis doesn't think this is necessary because he's an aeldring, but he doesn't mind it either.
Avis' adoptive mother. She helped raise him alongside Floryane and fully brought him into her house after she disappeared.
Floryane is Avis' mother. She was very loving and spoiled him constantly. She disappeared when Avis was 5 years old.
